The Loving Castle

German Village is walking distance or 5 minutes by car.  As you enter the Village via 3rd St. and Livingston, stop at the corner and visit Katzinger’s Deli ( est 1827), after lunch stroll a little further down to Pistachio Vera’s homemade pastries and drinks. Now that you are pleasantly full stroll a little further to the German Village book loft  to browse and enjoy a great afternoon read outside on the patio. Need an afternoon pick-me-up? Go next door to Stauf’s Coffee shop or stroll further down the street to Winans  Chocolates & Coffee shop, or stop into a nice little boutique nearby, or Penzone’s Salon! Wow! Oh no! It’s already dinnertime! Around the corner is one of the greatest sausage houses known to man! Surprise! It’s the famous Schmidt’s Sausage Haus! Now you know you definitely have to try their famous Bratwurst or Bahamma Mama  sandwich and finish the day with their homemade oversized Creme Puff. Lol! Well that was a full day, time to head back to the Loving and get some R/R.

 

Beautiful Historic German Village, Central downtown High Street, and the Short North all with their eats and drinks and shops are only a five minute drive from the apartments. If you need groceries, Krogers is a five minute drive, Hill’s Food Market(groceries and prepared foods and salad bar) is only a 10 minute walk, and if you do not want to leave the premises delivery is available to the front door of each building. As a bonus for all of our tenants, Matthew & Annette Loving have a standing invitation to their grand Christmas event/mini tour of the grand Loving Castle, 539 E Town St.(go to You Tube, “Christmas 2024 How the Grinch Restored Christmas”  to view last year’s event). This event is the first Saturday in December and the same day as the Downtown
